Britney Morgan

Britney Morgan is a product executive, entrepreneur, and former multimedia journalist who has spent her career at the intersection of storytelling, technology, and access. Over 12+ years, she has built and scaled products across healthcare, education, media, and consumer platforms — taking ideas from 0→1 through post–Series A alongside executives, investors, and cross-functional teams. Most recently, as Chief Product Officer at Mae, a venture-backed maternal health company focused on improving outcomes for Black women, Britney led product strategy and development, helping expand access and engagement while contributing to over $1 million in annual revenue. Previously, she led product for Ava DuVernay's ARRAY Crew, launching the first workforce equity marketplace for below-the-line talent in Hollywood. The platform earned Webby Award recognition for expanding access and opportunity across the entertainment industry.

Growing up Black in America, the music, stories, language, creativity, and traditions of Black culture shaped how Britney understood the world. BET, Soul Train, and UPN. Cleaning the house to R&B cuts on Saturday mornings. Snapping her fingers and singing along from the backseat on family road trips. Feeling the love and connection across generations at family reunions. These were the traditions and everyday experiences that shaped her.

Her curiosity about the history behind that culture started early. As early as fourth grade, Britney sought out books about Black history and stories by Black authors, wanting to understand more about where she came from. But as an adult, she began to recognize just how much historical context had been missing, misrepresented, or taught incorrectly — and how much she still didn't know.

In her early 30s, that realization became a personal mission to relearn, reconnect with, and preserve Black history and culture within her own family and community. As a mother, the mission became even more important: she wanted her children to not only inherit the culture, but understand the people, stories, and history behind it.

Rewind That! is her way of sharing that connection with the world. Built at the intersection of storytelling, technology, culture, and play, Rewind That! creates interactive experiences that help people celebrate what Black culture has created, discover the stories behind it, and keep those stories alive.

At the heart of Britney's work is a simple belief: technology can do more than make things easier. It can help us connect, tell better stories, create access, and preserve what matters.
